Pictures: Photographer Becomes a “Tourist in Her Own History” by Inserting Her Present Self in Childhood Photos

In a photo series called “Imagine Finding Me,” London-based Japanese photographer Chino Otsuka superimposes recent images of herself onto photographs from her youth. The results invoke a feeling of such nostalgia it makes us want to immediately photo-bomb our own childhood images with predictably disappointing results.

As she explains: “The digital process becomes a tool, almost like a time machine, as I’m embarking on the journey to where I once belonged and at the same time becoming a tourist in my own history.”
