Video: Drool-inducing Shots of Japanese Festival Food

One of the best things about traditional Japanese festivals is the food – streets lined with brightly-decorated stalls selling meat skewers (yakitori), octopus balls (takoyaki), fried noodles (yakisoba) and dozens of other treats all freshly made right in front of you amidst welcoming calls of “irasshaimase!” At this year’s Koenji Awa Odori (festival gallery here) we managed to calm our growling stomachs for a few seconds at a time to record footage before devouring everything in sight.

And yes, we ate way too much. We don’t regret it.
