McDonald’s Japan is apparently running out of french fries and, for once, it’s not an exaggeration to say it’s probably because of all you dumb, fat Americans.
There is apparently an ongoing french fry panic happening in Japan primarily because of a deliberately induced shortage by labor unions in America.
Dockworker unions in the US, which supplies McD’s Japan with its fries, have apparently enforced deliberate shipment delays due to disputes with terminal operators, in addition to the added problem of cargo equipment shortages because America apparently has found itself more or less equivalent to third world countries or, worse… France (shudder) when it comes to work ethic and availability of industrialized work equipment.
We’re poking fun, of course, but these issues have sparked serious problems for the fast food chain, which is now denying customers french fry sizes larger than the smallest available. Think about that: one of the classic examples of gluttony and excess in the modern world is now being forced to skimp on one of the other classic examples of gluttony and excess in the modern world because it no longer has access to basic, modern conveniences such as industrialized equipment and cheap labor.
What’s next, pizza shortages?
Oh God, please, anything but that!
